Lipstick Bandit

Some time ago I received a wholly random mention on Twitter - a very excited Rae asking for more lipstick bandits - and my first thought was what? are we robbing stores for lipstick now? ... I might be down.

Turns out no illegalities were involved, so far more enthusiasm ensued! I've been invited to join the (highly innocent) gathering of Lipstick Bandits, and as part of my induction all I have to do is put on a mask and tempt you with some red lips. Sounds like a regular day on Messy Wands!

Skin
  • Chantecaille Future Skin in Camomile
  • Burberry Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base

Mask
  • Ellis Faas E203
  • Armani Eyes To Kill #1 palette - black shade
  • MAC Vellum

Lips

Due to an inordinate amount of ailments that plagued me during the painting (stye and flu, amongst others), I improvised and made a half-mask to avoid those areas of concern.

My mask took much less makeup remover compared to what my fellow Bandits had to use, that's for sure. Nevertheless, I had fun. When are we doing this again!

Take a peek at the rest of the Bandits and fear! Guess how many new red lipsticks I now want:

Arianne at The Glitter Geek
Larie at Eye Heart It
Danie at Call It Beauty
Rocaille at Rocaille Writes
Paris B at My Women Stuff
Danielle at Blooming Beauty

Ellis Faas E203 was a press sample sent to me for consideration from the company. RBR Raw Silence was a gift I won from Zuneta's Facebook giveaway. The rest of the products mentioned in this post were purchased by me.

  8. Awesome mask! It's got that cool techie/digital vibe going on, reminds me of Tron for some reason.

  9. Thanks everyone!

@katie Oh dear of course not, what made you think so? I've just been rooting around for a heavier coverage foundation and have been sampling Future Skin every chance I have to make sure I want to commit to it. My sample is dwindling and that purchase is quite imminent :) And yes, while it's a new purchase, so far it's love at first use with Burberry Fresh Glow

  12. I, too, am always on the hunt for the perfect foundation. It has proven a very difficult quest! I just started using the Peau Vierge and, though shade 1 is a tad dark, I am loving it! I was really surprised by the amount of coverage it gives. I know that I will want more coverage somedays, so the hunt continues.... Have you tried LMdB Flawless Foundaion? It is on my list, and now, I think, this Chantecaille is too.

  13. Oh yes, meant to ask if you wear the Peau Vierge under your other foundation?

  14. @Joey I wish! Had to go to work and look all staid and professional on Monday :(

    @Jenny thank you :D

@katie I know! Till now I still get (pleasantly) surprised when I put on Peau Vierge. I have tried the foundation but didn't leave thinking "must have." I don't remember why, though. I'm pretty set on purchasing Chantecaille Future Skin at this point.

I don't for the moment (I used to mix PV with my BB cream, but that's not *really* foundation), but I know you can!
